Owensboro United Soccer Club is a not for profit organization
United was established for the specific purpose of developing a competitive youth soccer program whose goals are to achieve state, regional, and national soccer championship titles, as well as developing players capable of receiving college scholarships based on their playing ability and academic achievement. However, realization of these goals must be accomplished within the proper framework by instilling character, self-esteem, confidence, and sportsmanship within the youth athlete.
These goals can only be reached through the mature behavior and exemplary conduct of the coaches, parents, and officials of the Club. Their relationship with the players must be of the highest ethical and moral standards and be based upon concern and just principles that ensure equitable treatment prevails in all circumstances.
An aggressive desire for victory combined with the procedural and graduated development of soccer skills through exceptional coaching and advanced techniques is of paramount importance. Nevertheless, realization by all that soccer remains only a game is an inherent aspect of the philosophy of the Club that must always be recognized.

The United Soccer Academy began in the Spring of 2008. The Academy program is designed to give younger players more time to mature and develop before they are placed on “fixed” select teams. Our Academy offers the same competitive training environment as traditional select soccer but offers much more flexibility. The club keeps a collection of players within an age group rather than rostering them on “fixed” individual teams. This concept allows players to be “pool rostered” and therefore gives a club the flexibility to move players back and forth across traditional team lines according to their commitment, developmental progress, skill level and physical maturity, etc. Players may also choose to compete in recreational soccer leagues as well.
The United Academy focuses on soccer players in the U7-U9 age groups. Members of the Academy will benefit from experienced and licensed staff.
