The United Soccer Club’s
training program is geared toward developing players
for competitive leagues, Olympic development, high
school and collegiate soccer. Emphasis is placed on
technique, tactical and game play, such as passing,
positional play and transition of play. USC has a
strong reputation for quality players and teams.
Training is typically done at Thompson Berry Soccer
Complex. Teams practice typically two to three times per
week. Additional practices may be held before a
tournament.
Special clinics are frequently held to develop special
skills. The club has a specialized training program especially
for goalkeepers.
Coaches:
The Club is very proud of its coaching staff. All
coaches have a minimum of an “E” license and receive
ongoing training and oversight by the Coaching
Director. A large number of our coaches currently
coach or have coached at the high school or collegiate
level. Several of our coaches also have playing
experience at the college, professional and
international levels. The Club tries to assign a coach
and assistant coach to all teams.

Coaching Director John Fusco will be setting several
training sessions for coaches. Recreational coaches
within GRAS are welcome to participate as well. The
training is designed to help coaches be more
responsive and skilled in conducting training and in game
situations.
